Alloy Steels

EN24T; 817M40T; 1.6565

Supplied in finally heat treated condition to the ”T” range (850-1000 N/mm²). It exhibits high resistance to wear, yet machinable, with good ductility and shock resistance.
Supplied as:
Round Bright Bars: 7.94mmØ - 100mmØ or 5/16”Ø - 3”Ø
Round Black Bars: 45mmØ to 305mmØ
Flat Black Bars: 25mm x 10mm to 150mm x 50mm

EN24 Annealed; 817M40; 1.6565

Supplied in softened condition for machinability and can be hardened and tempered to a wide range of strengths after machining.
Supplied as:
Round Black Bars: 45mmØ to 305mmØ

Alloy Steels

EN19; 709M40; 1.7225

A Chromium Molybdenum high tensile through hardening steel capable of surface hardening by nitriding. Available in ”T” condition as well as annealed.
Supplied as:
Round Bright Bars: 16mmØ to 65mmØ
Round Black Bars: 40mmØ to 280mmØ

EN36B; 655M13; 1.5752

This is a high quality Nickel Chromium case-hardening steel which after hardening develops an extremely tough core. The presence of nickel and chromium permits deep hardening.
Supplied as:
Round Black Bars: 20mmØ to 305mmØ

EN39B; 835M15; 1.6723

This is a case-hardening steel used where very high core strength is required.
Supplied as:
Round Black Bars: 76mmØ to 240mmØ

SAE 8620; 805A20; 1.6523

A low alloy case hardening steel to American AISI/SAE standards, which after carburising and hardening produces a hard, wear resistant case with a tough core.
Supplied as:
Round Black Bars: 45mmØ to 200mmØ

AISI 4130; 1.7218

This is a low alloy steel containing molybdenum and chromium as strengthening agents. The carbon content is nominally 0.30% and with this relatively low carbon content the alloy is excellent from the fusion weldability standpoint. The alloy can be hardened by heat treatment.
Supplied as:
Round black bars: 35mmØ to 180mmØ

Other grades and sizes available on request.
