EN24 Annealed also known as 817M40 Annealed is supplied in the softened condition and can be hardened and tempered to a wide range of strengths after machining. EN24 annealed is suitable for a wide range of applications once machined and treated where high strength, shock resistance and wear resistance are important.
As a medium carbon steel with alloying elements of Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum,
En24 Annealed is not ideally suitable for welding.
